
Jacob Baum, MA, Resident Intern-Therapist
Jacob Baum joined Soul Care in January of 2020. He is pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary. Jacob is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and he obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University. After college, Jacob joined the Army National Guard and is serving in an Engineering Unit in Mocksville, NC.
Jacob utilizes a Client-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral approach with a Christian integration. He always works within the client’s worldview. Having the belief that healthy relationships are core to a healthy life, Jacob works to form a collaborative partnership with clients in order to help them become physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually whole.
When Jacob is not working he enjoys hiking, camping, sleeping, slappin’ the bass and outdoor sports.
Jacob is a member of the American Counseling Association.
