Karen has a heart for helping clients work through anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, parenting stress, and emotional overwhelm. She also has experience working with children with autism and has a special interest in supporting children and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental needs. Karen values creating a patient, understanding, and supportive environment where children can feel safe, accepted, and encouraged.
Her counseling approach is person-centered, supportive, and collaborative, while also incorporating evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, grounding skills, emotional regulation strategies, and strengths-based interventions.
As part of Soul Care, PLLC, Christian Counseling Services, Karen values the opportunity to integrate faith into the counseling process when desired by the client. She believes healing involves caring for the whole person, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and relationally. Her goal is to walk alongside clients with empathy, respect, and hope as they work toward growth, healing, and greater emotional wellness.
Karen is committed to creating a nonjudgmental counseling environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change.
Guided by her faith, Karen is reminded of Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
