You are responsible for paying at the time of your session unless prior arrangements have been made. A counseling session will last 50 minutes, although other arrangements can be made to best serve the needs of the client. Counseling Assessment fees are $150 and Individual Therapy Session fees are $125 per session. An income-based sliding is available upon request. To receive a sliding scale fee, you must present proof of income through recent pay stubs. A cancelation fee of $35 is charged for sessions canceled less than 24 hours before the appointment is scheduled. Payment may be made via debit/credit card, cash or check. Use of Diagnosis
Some health insurance companies will reimburse clients for counseling services and some will not. In addition, most will require diagnosis of a mental-health condition and indicate that you must have an “illness” before they will agree to reimburse you. Some conditions for which people seek counseling do not qualify for reimbursement. If a qualifying diagnosis is appropriate in your case, I will inform you of the diagnosis before we submit the diagnosis to the health insurance company. Any diagnosis made will become part of your permanent insurance records.
