Anthony Redfearn, MA, NCC, LPC, LCAS – Associate Minister - Therapist
Anthony Redfearn joined Soul Care in 2016. He is an Associate Minister, Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Profession Counselor, and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, currently seeking Marriage and Family Therapist Credentialing. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Service from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, Studied at Hood Theological Seminary, in Salisbury NC in the Master of Divinity Program, and graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, with a Master’s of Art in Christian Counseling. Anthony originates from Chesterfield SC and have spent most of his years since childhood in Charlotte NC.
Anthony was ordained a minister in the AME Zion Church and entered the Human Service field in 1985. His experience in the Human Service Field include, serving as a Program Service Developer with ECO (Energy Committed to Offenders) helping the transition from prison to the community, 1985-89. directed a project providing services to the hungry and homeless, 2000-02, served as Associate Pastor with The Serenity Church (The Recovery Church of Charlotte) 2003-13, worked in addiction and recovery since 2000 gaining expertise in working with individuals, couples, groups, and families; available to serve and help those with depression, anxiety, PTSD, marital and family concerns, and addictions of all kind, with training as a Recovery Coach and a Facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich Marriage Program. Anthony’s Therapeutic Approach is eclectic and integrative, including Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Rational Emotive Brief Therapy (REBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Anthony is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and is inclined more towards being spiritual than religious, believing “God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth” John 4:24.
He adopts the motto: Give a person a fish you feed them for a day, teach them how to fish you feed them for a lifetime.”
