- Why
- High school can be a very challenging time for teenagers in normal settings. Add a pandemic and the challenges compound exponentially. High school students are faced with constant stressors to conform to social norms and fulfill family obligations, all the while trying to gain autonomy and plan for the future. Adolescent males are often trying to understand their roles as men and decide on career interests, while facing pressures to engage in romantic relationships. This group was developed to provide a safe space for high school males to talk about how their self-concept impacts their wellbeing and decisions, and to develop a healthier self-concept. Discussions will be Christian-integrated.
