James Herbert Nance, MA, NBCC, LCMHC - Therapist
James Nance is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. He received a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College.
Born in Newberry, South Carolina, Mr. Nance has been a Charlotte, North Carolina resident since 1981. He is married with four daughters, three grandchildren and has served as an ordained Deacon in his Church for the past twenty one years. Mr. Nance is also a Vietnam Vet and coached football in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System for over twenty years. He retired in 2016 from the CMS School system as a Behavior Modification Technician.
Mr. Nance specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults. He has served as an independent counselor in therapeutic homes and restitution programs for at risk teens. He also serves as a church counselor and has experience in dealing with grief, divorce recovery, premarital and marriage counseling.
Mr. Nance utilizes an Integrative style of counseling because of its versatility and the ability to meet the consumer where they are.
