Quintisha China, MSW, LCSW - Therapist - Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I believe it is vital to share a little bit about myself and how I can be impactful in your process of healing and growth during this time period in your life. I grew up with a passion and love to help others, whether it was giving hope and encouragement to other children who were in the foster care system or less fortunate, praying over loved ones or strangers who lost all hope in other options for help, or helping people who were homeless and in despair to get housed and restored.
I have counseled children and women to a new place of healing through Christian Counseling while working in the community. There are multiple different avenues to help others, to spread kindness, love, and hope. It can be through one word that changes a person’s life, one act of kindness, or one simple hug; it could be saving someone’s life or just simply being the best version of you that you can be. Regardless of how you choose to help others, there is no seed that is too small, everything a person plants will produce in multiplication. Christian Counseling is one of the avenues that displays planting of seeds throughout communities by the testimonies of my clients.
Proficient in utilizing a broad range of assessments and intervention strategies, I skillfully engage and integrate clients’ personal values and goals into the treatment process. I meet clients where they are in their individual specific needs and process, and then together work as a team to identify barriers, needs, and strengths in order to create appropriate and achievable goals that help improve clients’ overall well-being. I am adept at integrating clinical and biblical based interventions for treatment and very passionate about working with adolescents, individuals, and couples and families. My style is direct, empathetic, and affirmative with my approach being centered towards cognitive-behavioral modalities and can shift to other theorectical interventions based upon client progress and evaluation.
